WHAT
WE BELIEVE

GOD
is one all-powerful, all-knowing,
totally good creator and sustainer
of everything, who has revealed
himself in three co-eternal and
co-equal persons; Father, Son and
Holy Spirit. (Deut.
6:4, Gen.
1:1, Mt.
28:19, Mark
1:9-11)
JESUS
is the totally unique Son of God,
co-equal and co-eternal with God
the Father and the Holy Spirit,
who was born of a virgin, lived
a sinless life, died on a cross
for the sins of humanity and was
raised the third day with all power.
Jesus is Lord of creation, seated
at the right hand of the Father
in heaven, praying for the Church,
and who will return to earth to
reign over every kingdom. (John
1:1, Mt.
1:18, Heb.
4:15, I
Cor. 14:3-4, Acts
2:33, Heb.
4:15-16, Rev.
11:15)
THE
HOLY SPIRIT is God,
co-equal and co-eternal with God
the Father and Jesus, co-creator
and co-sustainer of creation who
dwells within every believer in
Jesus and testifies of Jesus and
calls to remembrance all that Jesus
taught. (Gen.
1:2, John
3:5, John
16:7-14, Ro.
8:9, I
Cor. 12:13)
HUMANITY
is one race of males and females
created good in the spiritual image
and likeness of God, who inherited
a fallen nature from their ancestors
Adam and Eve. Humans are the crown
of God’s creation made for
dominion and stewardship of creation
and are the objects of God’s
redeeming love. Each human will
face judgment and after life on
earth will spend eternity in either
heaven or hell. (Gen.
1:26-27, Ps.
51:5, Ps.
8, John
3:16, Acts
17:31, Dan. 12:2)
THE
SCRIPTURES of the
Bible are inspired by God’s
Spirit and infallible in their original
state as the Word of God and all
sixty-six books of the Old and New
Testaments are profitable for Christian
living and ministry. (2
Peter 1:21, 2
Tim. 3:16, Ro.
15:4)
SALVATION
is God’s work to rescue fallen
humanity from the wages of sin,
which is death. Salvation is by
grace through faith alone in the
death and resurrection of Jesus
as the only acceptable price for
humanity’s sins. (John
3:16, Ro.
3:21-18, Gal.
2:16, Gal.
2:8-9, Ro.
10:9, I
Jn. 1:8; 2:2)
GRACE
is God’s unmerited favor toward
all those who accept and believe
in the person and work of Jesus
Christ resulting in the irrevocable
gift of eternal life and indwelling
presence of the Holy Spirit at the
moment of conversion. (Ro.
3:20-28, Ro.
4:16, Jn.
10: 28-29, Jn.
3:6, Ro.
8:9)
ATONEMENT
is the shedding of the blood of
Jesus for the sins of humanity and
is the only means whereby any person
can have a right relationship with
God. (Ro.
3:25, 5:9-11,
Eph.
1:7, 2:13,
Col.
1:14, Heb.
9:14)
RESURRECTION
is the work of God whereby Jesus
was raised to life after a terrible
death on a cross on Calvary. Every
follower of Jesus will be resurrected
after death and will spend eternity
with God in heaven. (Mt.
28:5-6, Acts
2:22-24, Ro.
15:20-23)
THE
WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
on earth has not changed since the
day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit
came to indwell the Church in Jerusalem.
The Holy Spirit baptizes, seals,
fills, anoints, gives gifts, sets
apart, and produces fruit. All spiritual
gifts of the New Testament operate
in continuity on earth in the church
until the return of the Perfect
One, Jesus. The work of being witnesses
for Jesus cannot be done without
the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
(1
Cor. 12:13, 2

5:18, 1
John 2:20, Thess.
2:13, Gal.
5:22-23, 1

authority of a Pastor that the Holy
Spirit has placed as overseer of
the congregation. (Mt.

of the Church to be witnesses of
Jesus Christ to the ends of the
